Professional Bio

Freddy Williams is a mission-driven executive, civic strategist, and nonprofit dealmaker who is reshaping how America serves its youth. A proud Boys & Girls Club alum, Freddy went from a struggling teen in Panama City, Florida to becoming the President and CEO of one of the largest Boys & Girls Clubs organizations in the country, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay. His leadership spans 65 sites across three counties, serving over 3,000 kids every day and reaching more than 40,000 youth annually.

He is nationally recognized for leading the largest merger in Boys & Girls Clubs of America history. The unified organization is now a regional powerhouse and a model for nonprofit consolidation. Freddy brings a bold, values-first approach to strategic growth by fusing business discipline with deep community roots.

His leadership journey began early. By age 27 he was a CEO. By 35 he was chairing the national board representing 60,000 BGC staff across 5,000 sites. Freddy credits the Club with saving his life and now devotes his own to building systems that give more young people a real shot at success.

Freddy is known for leading with transparency, driving measurable outcomes, and challenging outdated thinking in the nonprofit sector. Whether he is orchestrating a multi-county merger, advising CEOs, or rolling up his sleeves at a local Club, his goal remains the same. Expand opportunity at scale.

He holds degrees and credentials from the University of Florida, Florida International University, Harvard, Indiana University, and Arizona State. His work has been featured in the Business Observer, Tampa Bay Business Journal, Tampa Magazine, and Florida Business Minds. He has been named to the Tampa Bay Power 100 and leads one of the largest youth-serving nonprofits in Florida with an annual budget exceeding 25 million dollars.

Most importantly, he is a husband to Melissa and a dad to Leighton, Bear, and Harper. He is also an unshakable believer in faith, family, fishing trips, and the power of bold leadership done right.
